Wall mounted coat rack – If you do not have a closet, you can choose to build your own wall mounted coat rack, essentially a bar on which you place the hanger. A wall mounted clothes rack requires the use of basic woodworking tools and a little creative flare. It will not require an advanced knowledge of woodworking.

Build a wall mounted coat rack, cut two pieces of one-of-4-inch hardwood to a length of 20 inches. A miter saw is square edges. These boards are your final support for the hanger. Measure down 1 inch from the end of the 4-inch before each end support and make a mark in the middle – two inches from the edge. Drill a 1-inch hole through the face of each end support exactly where you place the mark.

After that for build wall mounted coat rack, place a “pocket drill” jig on 4-inch wide side of one end support.  Locate two studs in the wall with a stud finder. Studs are typically 18 or 24 inches apart. Place the end of an end support with the two 45-degree angled hole on the wall and centered on the pin. If placed correctly, will end support protrude from the wall 20 inches. Face the 45 degree holes on the stud farm where you will mount the other end support. Drill a hole at each marked location in the wall large enough for a 1/4-inch wall anchor and push the wall anchors into the holes.
